What We Collect

You do not need an account to use Fontography, and the tool does not ask for your name or email address. We collect only the following:

• Usage statistics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see how the tool is used, for example which font pairs people choose and which page templates they preview. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives your IP address, browser type and device information.
• Your font choices. The tool remembers the last pair, template and settings you picked so the page opens where you left off. This is stored only in your own browser (local storage) and is never sent to us.
• Messages you send us. If you use the contact form on our About page, we receive your name, email address and message.
• Server logs. Like most websites, our web server keeps standard logs of requests, including IP addresses and browser details, to keep the site secure and working.

Google Fonts

Every font on Fontography is loaded from Google Fonts. When a font loads, your browser connects to Google’s servers, and Google receives your IP address and browser information. The code the tool gives you to copy also loads fonts from Google. If you prefer, you can download the fonts and host them on your own site instead.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart. WordPress sets cookies only for people who sign in to manage the site. We do not use advertising cookies.

How We Use This Information

We use it to understand which features are useful, fix problems and improve the tool. We use messages from the contact form only to reply to you and to improve the site, and we do not add you to a mailing list. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone except the services named on this page, which process it on our behalf.

Your Choices

• You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
• You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
• You can clear your saved font choices by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
• You can ask us to delete a message you sent through the contact form.

To learn how Google handles data, see the Google Privacy Policy.

Children

Fontography is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
